I don't like complicated legalese - nobody reads it, and it's mostly just common sense, so here's how I do business, listed in plain, simple terms :
1. BOOKING : Once you make a booking online, that date and time is reserved for you. You can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before your shoot. After that time any deposit you have paid is non-refundable. I can also cancel or offer to reschedule in the unlikely event that I'm unable to do the shoot. In this case, any money already paid will be refunded in full or applied to the rescheduled date.
2. PAYMENT : When booking you pay either a deposit to secure your slot, or the full balance. If there is a balance remaining to be paid on the shoot day then this will be taken on the day via the same card used when booking.
3. COPYRIGHT & OWNERSHIP : Copyright law says that the photographer owns the copyright in the photographs. You will have the right to use the images in the following ways...
- Self-promotional use (or agent, on your
behalf), including web, print, Spotlight, Mandy and other casting directories, agent
mail outs, and front of house by employers.
- Personal social media profiles including Instagram/Linkedin/Twitter/Facebook etc
- For corporate/business clients, your company may also use the photographs for company publicity or promotional use (including websites, social media and press handouts).
The reproduction permitted in this clause does not include commercial use, eg. endorsements, paid advertising placements.

As the photographer, I have the right to use the photographs for my own marketing and publicity (e.g. web, print, and social media use).
4. THE PHOTOGRAPHS : Everyone is different, and every session results in unique images. I can never guarantee that your photographs will match someone else's. We work together during the shoot to make sure you're happy. There is no option of a refund if you are not happy with the photographs at the end of the shoot.
5. EDITING & DELIVERY : You will receive a link to a gallery of low resolution, watermarked proofs from the shoot. These are not downloadable and are not to be used in any way. There is no option to receive all the images from the shoot. You select the required number of photographs from the proofs and these are then retouched and supplied as high resolution JPG files via digital download. I can't guarantee to fulfil any specific retouching notes, but will do my best, as long as it is consistent with my advertised style.
6. LIABILITY : I can't be held liable for any loss or damage caused by your, or any third party, use of the photographs. If I lose or corrupt the digital files from the shoot, I will offer to reshoot at no charge but that will be the limit of my liability.
